Resources are available to download from our DPCV Summer Events and AGM in Buckfast and Barnstaple. The turnout for both events was excellent - we were delighted to receive a record number of delegates in Barnstaple especially - as parent carers from around Devon travelled to enjoy inspiring seminars, have their say about SEN and children's services, and meet other parent carers and service providers:
Rob Long (Chartered Psychologist, Education Works) and Graham Valentine (Children & Young People’s Therapist, Bibic) offered parallel workshops aimed at helping Parent Carers to support children with SEN and behavioural difficulties.
Doug Morris (NNPCF South West Regional Representative) facilitated an open-ended consultation to identify "Your Burning Issues": Allowing parent carers to set the agenda by identifying the key issues affecting them and their family. DPCV will collate Doug's findings, and an accurate summary will be presented to the relevant organisations and authorities. We will then source and report back their responses to you, later in the year.
The Buckfast event included a short AGM, including a presentation of DPCV's accounts for 2015-2016. For the financial year being reported upon:
